I started writing a notebook app for the iPad because I wanted one thing that didn't exist: Obsidian-style links, but on handwriting. It exists now. You write with the pencil like in any notebook. Then you lasso a word, tap "link", pick a note, and that circled word is a wikilink. The other note shows "mentioned in" with your page. There is a graph of the whole notebook, handwritten pages and markdown notes together. Other things I care about that made it into the app: - Search reads your handwriting - Everything is a file. .md for typed notes, .ink for handwritten pages, sitting in a folder you can open in the Files app and back up however you want. - The ink engine is mine, not PencilKit. Metal on iOS, OpenGL on Android, one C++ core, so a page written on an iPad opens on a Galaxy Tab as the same strokes and saves back byte for byte the same file. - If you study for exams, a page can turn into flashcards, and the questions you get wrong fall into an error notebook by themselves. Weak spots, so you don't have to find them: no desktop or web app, no collaboration, and the past-paper bank only has Brazilian exams so far because that's where I live. (but i plan to expand ofcourse) The notebook is free with no page limit. Sync and the AI study features are a paid tier with a 7-day trial.
