Original Summary
I'm working on MotionPaste, an open-source Chrome extension for reusing motion in UI prototypes. Select a supported animated element in your own web app, preview its motion on a button, card or pill, adjust the duration, and export JSON or JavaScript. The exported JavaScript runs without the extension or an external library. The 15-second clip shows the same motion on two different designs, then changes its duration from 1,300 to 733 ms. It's an experimental beta: one HTML element, one CSS Animation or Web Animations API effect, finite timing, and explicit 2D transform/opacity endpoints. CSS transitions, infinite loops, scroll animations and GSAP inference aren't supported. Unsupported pages or conflicting destination styles can be rejected; the README has the full compatibility table. It's free and MIT licensed, with no account needed. Installation is currently manual: download and unzip the release, then use Chrome's Developer mode → Load unpacked. It isn't in the Chrome Web Store yet. Source, install ZIP and supported scope: https://github.com/spacegiyou/motionpaste What's one small animation you'd want to reuse in your own UI? A public example would help me understand whether this scope is useful. submitted by /u/Bubbly_Customer_3578 [link] [comments]
