Original Summary
Hey everyone! I've been working on a project called SceneForge Studio , an open-source desktop video editor that combines traditional video editing with AI-assisted creation tools. The idea came from wanting a single application where creators could work with scripts, images, video clips, narration, captions, and effects without constantly switching between different tools. Some of the features I've been building include: Timeline-based video and audio editing AI-assisted image, video, and voice generation Automatic captions, including Arabic and English Video transitions, effects, titles, and overlays Support for cloud AI providers and optional local models Desktop releases for Windows, Linux, and macOS The project uses technologies including Electron, Python, and FFmpeg. It's still evolving, and I'm particularly interested in hearing what creators and developers think about the workflow and interface. GitHub: https://github.com/EzioDEVio/SceneForge I'd appreciate feedback on three things: What features would make you consider using an open-source video editor? Is the interface intuitive enough for someone who isn't a professional video editor? Would you prefer local AI processing or integration with cloud providers? Thanks for checking it out! submitted by /u/AssassinNGeek [link] [comments]
