Original Summary

None of my favorite recipes have come from me stumbling upon it from a website. They’ve come from first hand connections - my mom, a friend, an old roommate, etc. And I’ve always run in to the problem that those recipes end up everywhere: text messages, screenshots, bookmarks, random websites, and handwritten cards. I started building TBLE (Community Table) to make it easier to find and share new recipes between the people you already know. I didn’t want to create just another recipe app, but something that lets you connect with others, see what they’re cooking, and effortlessly share, like, and save new finds. My idea is to make your “community” the center of the experience, rather than another social network full of influencers or an endless recipe search engine. TBLE is a web app where you can: Build a personal cookbook by importing recipes from websites, photos, or your own notes. Share recipes with your household so everyone can contribute to a shared collection. Plan meals for the week by moving recipes into a weekly planner. Generate a grocery list automatically from your planned meals, combining duplicate ingredients. Discover recipes from other households and save the ones you want to try. It’s live at https://mytble.com , and I’m looking for people to try it while I continue building. I’d especially love feedback on two things: Is sharing recipes with family and friends something you’d genuinely use, or would you mostly want a private cookbook? Does the weekly planner flow easy to understand? I don’t like how other planner apps do it and this is hose my mind works but curious if it’s intuitive or hard to follow? I’m building this as an independent project, and I’d rather find out what doesn’t work now than keep building features nobody needs. If you give it a try, I’d genuinely appreciate your honest take. And if you have a completely different way of organizing your household recipes, I’d love to hear about it. submitted by /u/404_not-found_ [link] [comments]
