Original Summary

I got tired of constantly switching to After Effects just to use the Liquify effect. It’s slow, annoying, and breaks my editing workflow. So I opened Claude Code with Opus 5.5 and basically told it: “Recreate the Liquify features from After Effects directly inside Premiere Pro, make it CUDA accelerated, and add automatic face tracking.” And… here we are lol. It actually works! You can distort faces directly inside Premiere Pro without having to open After Effects, and the effect automatically tracks facial movements. It’s still a work in progress, and there’s definitely room for improvement, but I’m genuinely impressed by how far you can get with AI-assisted coding. The crazy part is that I didn’t have to manually implement all these features myself. I just described what I wanted, tested the results, and kept iterating with Claude. Features so far: Liquify-style distortion directly in Premiere Pro CUDA acceleration Automatic face tracking Interactive distortion controls No need to round-trip through After Effects I’m planning to keep improving it, but I wanted to share what I’ve managed to build so far. Vibe coding is getting ridiculous. Would anyone here actually find a plugin like this useful? submitted by /u/GABROCHACHO [link] [comments]
