Original Summary
My brain is too small to keep track of everything :) Passport renewal, subscriptions I meant to cancel, cleaning the dishwasher filter, the link HR gave me for my benefits program. I tried Google Calendar, but it ended up a sprawling web of reminders. I'm a visual person and want to see everything at once, so I built nTree to lay it all out as a tree. I've been building it nights and weekends for 7 years. I use it multiple times a week, mostly for life admin, plus planning nTree itself, and some nerdy homelab config stuff. It finally does all that I wanted out of it, so now want to know if it works for anyone else. There are a few example trees to look around in. The one in the video is home maintenance, where every chore has a reminder that emails you when it's due. The assistant is the newest part: I tell it I just got a dehumidifier and it builds the task, reminder included. It's a general tool for anything you can break into parts and sub-parts: trips, projects, money. You can share a tree with other people, and there are more advanced features under the hood: templates, automations, custom dashboards. It's free to use, and you can look at all the example trees without signing up. View the Home Maintenance Demo or other demos are on the nTree homepage. Make a copy of any of them to get your own, and delete what you don't need. I'd love blunt feedback. Does the idea make sense, and where did you get stuck or confused? submitted by /u/steadystate12 [link] [comments]
