Original Summary
I’ve been building Lumo, an AI shopping agent designed to help people make better purchases without having to do all the research themselves. The idea is simple: You tell Lumo what you want, for example: “Find me the best wireless headphones under £150” and it searches across products and retailers, compares the options, looks at price and quality, and gives you a shortlist based on what actually fits your request. The bigger vision is for it to eventually handle more of the buying process too: find the best product find the best price look for extra ways to save help verify reviews / product quality purchase for you track delivery handle returns and refunds I’m currently at the stage where the product exists, but getting people to actually use it has been much harder than building it. So I’m trying to work out whether the issue is the product, the positioning, or simply distribution. I’d genuinely appreciate brutal feedback: Would you use something like this instead of Google/Amazon/ChatGPT when you want to buy something? If not, what would it need to do for you to care?
