Original Summary
been working on this alone for a few months and it's at the point where I need people other than me using it it's called darce. it's a coding agent that runs in your terminal: reads your code, edits files, runs commands, the usual. it works with pretty much any model on openrouter (300+), so you're not locked into one provider a few things I care about that felt missing elsewhere: - /undo reverts what it did, including what a shell command changed, not just file edits - it asks before running anything risky (rm -rf, force push, curl | sh) and says why - you can switch models mid-task, or use /derby to run the same task on 3 models and keep the best diff - you can paste screenshots straight in if you already use claude code or aider, those are more polished right now. not going to pretend otherwise where I want to take it: I'd like it to help you learn while it works, not just hand you diffs you accept without reading. explaining what it changed and why, teaching you the parts of your codebase you don't know yet, that kind of thing. it's early and I'd rather shape that with people than guess. if that sounds useful (or pointless) I'd really like to hear it npm i -g darce-cli free tier is 25 requests a day. repo is github.com/AmerSarhan/darce-cli it will break in places. tell me what broke and what's annoying. there's a small discord if (only me!) you want to follow along or help shape the learning side: discord.gg/u447rt6Xfq More info here https://cli.darce.dev/ submitted by /u/LETSENDTHISNOW [link] [comments]
