Original Summary

I've been working on something called Ikigai Space. I got frustrated with productivity apps: so many of them turn everyday life into something to measure, score, optimize, that we have to constantly keep up with. I wanted to try a different approach... Instead of building another dashboard, I started designing a collection of connected spaces for different parts of life. Today is for daily tasks and notes. Journey handles planning and calendars. Focus is for focused work. Reflection and Memories help you look back. There are also spaces for long-term plans, career direction, and music. The part I'm most interested in is Sanctuary. It's a persistent 3D environment that responds to activity elsewhere in the workspace. I deliberately avoided XP, coins, streaks, and traditional gamification. I wanted it to feel less like earning rewards and more like gradually shaping a place. On the technical side, Ikigai Space uses React, TypeScript, Dexie/IndexedDB, Three.js, and Tauri 2. It's available as a web/PWA app and a Windows desktop application. The core workspace is local-first and doesn't require an account. P.S. Does organizing these features into separate rooms make the experience feel more natural, or would you rather have everything accessible from one dashboard? submitted by /u/MeanManagement834 [link] [comments]
