Original Summary

I just spent three (pretty gruiling) months doing project management and development lead on TalkOver, a voice-following teleprompter tool with every feature I want as a small youtube creator and presenter. It's Mac-only at this point. I'm pretty excited. A lot of late vibecoding nights. It's something that was just for me for about a year, but my wife does presentations as a social worker supervisor. So I added tools for her too. And then I decided, I have a ton of things that aren't good uses of my time, let's do software development. There are no subscriptions. No data is shared. Ever. As an Adobe slave, I'm not tying people into not owning their software. Some desripton for context. And you can visit talkoverapp.com and give me some feedback on features, UI/UX, etc. It's still a side project. I'm trying to see if I should do the coding work to put this on the Mac App store and Setapp or better using YT channels I connect wtih to promote it. Who has experience in the joys of the Mac App store process? This turned from late nights making something to fix a teleprompter issue I had with HDMI output to a local display not a dedicated prompter and ended with me putting a few hundred hours into something that will probably end up only being for me. submitted by /u/davidjschloss [link] [comments]
