Original Summary

I came across Haptiker on Product Hunt yesterday and liked the idea of using your trackpad edges to control volume. It seemed like a fun thing to try building myself, so I started working on EdgeVolume . The idea is simple: slide one finger up along the physical edge of your trackpad to increase the volume, or down to decrease it. You can choose the left edge, right edge, or both, and adjust the sensitivity. It’s still an early Mac prototype. Haptiker offers more brightness control, keyboard backlight, and haptic feedback. Mine currently focuses on volume, and I’m still working through gesture reliability and accidental swipes. The source is public if anyone wants to try it, look through the code, or contribute: Website: https://edgevolume.vercel.app/ GitHub: https://github.com/reveuse12/edge-volume Would you use something like this, or do the keyboard volume keys already do the job for you? submitted by /u/reveuse1209 [link] [comments]
