Original Summary

Hi again! A week ago I posted Glassline here, a menu bar and dock that replace the Windows 11 taskbar. You asked for a lot, and 1.0.5 has most of it. You asked, it is in Tray icons in the menu bar: pick the ones you want in Settings or pin them from Control Center, then drag them into your own order. Hardware readings in Control Center: processor, memory and graphics card load, with temperatures. HWiNFO or MSI Afterburner can add fan speeds. Currency in Search: type "100 usd to eur" and get the European Central Bank's rate. The last rate is kept for when you are offline. More units in Search: speed, volume, area, file sizes, connection speeds and time. Try "100 km/h in mph" or "1500 mb to gb". Translation in Search (beta, optional): type "translate good morning to spanish". It runs on your own PC, with 49 languages you download as you need them. Back up your whole setup to one file and load it after a reinstall or on another PC. Menu bar and dock Window previews: hover an open app in the dock to see its windows live, and click one to jump to it. Your own dock icons: right-click anything in the dock, choose Change Icon and use any picture you like. The dock can slide in when an app needs your attention. It is off until you turn it on. Two displays: click on a display and the dock moves there, in that display's colours. It only hides for windows on its own display. Windows no longer open with their title bar stuck behind the menu bar. When an app has more menus than fit in the bar, the rest wait under » at the end. Middle-click Downloads or the Recycle Bin to open it. Search, Control Center and Settings Search works with Everything 1.5, and finds programs that only live on your Desktop. Subscribed calendars: add an .ics address and its events show up in Today next to your own. Choose what Control Center shows: every part of Controls and Today has its own switch. Settings reorganised: the long pages are split into sub-pages, and a search field finds any setting. Settings can also be minimized to the dock. Accessibility: Glassline can follow Windows' text size and contrast themes. New weather icons. After each update, Glassline shows you what is new. Many fixes for setups with two displays. It is a free update for everyone who has Glassline. Microsoft's approval takes 24 to 48 hours, usually less for an update, so it will reach you soon. See everything in motion · Get it on the Microsoft Store (Windows 11, $9.99 one-time) What is still missing for you? submitted by /u/s_a_m_12344 [link] [comments]
