I’ve spent the last two months building Klerm , an open-source desktop app and CLI for working with AI agents in a more structured way. The core idea: use the coding tools you already have, but give them one shared workspace where they can work individually or collaborate as a small team. Klerm can connect its built-in Pi-derived runtime and external coding harnesses. Each harness keeps its own authentication, tools, permissions, and native sessions. Klerm acts as the bridge and orchestration layer instead of trying to replace those tools. What works today - Connect multiple coding-agent slots and run deterministic, sequential collaboration between them. - Use local or cloud models with configurable reasoning levels and roles. - Create Personal Bots for project discussions, research, planning, and review. - Organize work with Kanban boards, scheduled tasks, retries, and persistent run history. - See agent handoffs, tool activity, file diffs, task attempts, and deterministic logs. - Organize sessions into projects and configure MCP tools, shortcuts, themes, and workspace settings. - Save visual workflow/graph drafts for planning. Workflow execution itself is not implemented yet. Why I’m posting now I need fresh eyes more than I need another feature. > Honest status: I have tested Klerm mostly on Linux. Windows and macOS packaging exists, but it has not had enough real-world testing yet. I’m especially looking for: - Windows users willing to install the desktop app and report what breaks. - People who already use coding harnesses or agent CLIs and want to test collaboration workflows. - Contributors interested in Tauri, TypeScript, Rust, agent orchestration, testing, or UX . - Anyone willing to try Klerm on a real project and point out confusing behavior or rough edges.
