Original Summary
I'm building Shengliu (声流), a small iPhone soundscape app, mainly for my own use so far. Before adding more features, I'd like to hear how you actually use background sounds on your phone. The direction is simple and fully offline: pick a scene, press play, put the phone away. The prototype already supports bundled sounds, adjustable mixes, and local recording and trimming. It still has optional online music, so fully offline is a product direction rather than a claim about the current build. If you use rain, nature sounds or white noise: - When do you use them: reading, work, sleep, travel, or something else? - Would a small offline sound library be enough, or would you miss streaming music? - What's one feature you need on your phone, and one thing that makes these apps annoying? It's not on the App Store yet. Experiences with apps you already use, or reasons you wouldn't need another one, would be useful. submitted by /u/Alarming-Towel-9712 [link] [comments]
