Original Summary

[Sent with Free Plan] In March my screen time report said Instagram, 1 hour 32 minutes a day. I'd set a limit in Digital Wellbeing six times. Every night around 11:30 the "time's up" screen came up and I tapped ignore without reading it. A friend got sick of hearing me complain and made me a bet: every day I go over 30 minutes, I donate $15 to the NRA and send him the receipt. First night I hit 28 minutes at 11:40pm, looked at the counter, and threw my phone across the bed. Two weeks later I was averaging 30 minutes. So I built Punish. You set a goal (screen time, gym, a deadline), put money on it, and pick the org you'd hate to fund. Pro-gun people get Everytown. The phone does the counting, so you can't lie to it. Android, closed beta. The app never touches the money: you pay a miss yourself through every.org. Which org would you never want to fund? punishapp.com submitted by /u/pollutionmixes [link] [comments]
