Original Summary
A while ago my friend Devin said it would be cool if you could track where you cried. She already had journaling apps, but none of them showed where it actually happened. I don't cry that much myself lol, but I couldn't stop thinking about it, so I built it. It's called Teardrop. You drop a tear on the map where it happened, pick how it felt (there's 12 emotions, from heartbroken to relief to cutting onions) and add a note, a photo or a voice memo if you want. After a while you can look back and see the places that got to you. It's pretty personal stuff, so every cry has its own privacy setting (only you, close friends, friends or everyone) and new accounts start on friends only. If you do share publicly, people nearby can see it on the map and send you a hug. On December 1 it opens "Your Year in Tears", basically Spotify Wrapped but for every time you cried this year. I started it in summer 2025, dropped it when school started again, and finished it this summer after graduating. I'm pretty much an amateur, so the hardest part was honestly all the stuff around the code, like privacy policies and setting up store accounts for the first time. It's free. There's an optional Pro and a few small ads, never right after you log a cry, mostly so it can pay for its own servers. It's only had around 100 downloads so far, so honest feedback means a lot.
