Quick recap: You send me a short demo video of something you built. I recut it for short-form and post it on AppMunchies YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram channels with credit and a link back to you. It's free, and you don't have to run your own social accounts. Here are the past 2.5 weeks in numbers: 28 demos posted 50k+ combined views ~80 followers across all three platforms That looks fine but distribution matters: Of the 28 videos most of the views and followers came from a handful: TT: one video reached 18k views (319 likes, ~30 followers). The next best is under 2k. IG: four videos landed between 1.2k and 3.4k views. The rest stayed in the low hundreds. YT: eight Shorts climbed to about 1k and stopped, all between 1.0k and 1.3k. One got out, to 4.1k. Some surprises: The same video can do great on one platform but poorly on another. The parking lot occupancy detector by Fit_Professional5553 is the 18k TikTok video. On Instagram it got about 130 views. Pokemon Emerald mod demo by gburgardt did well across platforms: best-performing demo on YT and IG by far; pretty decent on TikTok as well. Some early learnings/hypotheses: Uploads are shown to a small test audience: On TT and IG it sits around ~100. Several videos never went beyond. The first few seconds matter most: Swiping away in the first 2 seconds and how much of the video is watched seem super important for getting more early exposure on all platforms. The breakouts also have far more shares and saves. Likes don't seem to move the needle much; not sure about comments. TT and IG also prefer shorter demos (15-40 seconds). YouTube appears to cap Shorts from a new channel at around 1k views. Eight videos stopped in the same range. I'll keep posting but also experiment with the hooks and duration.
