Original Summary
Hey r/SideProject ! A while ago, I started building MiamBot as a side project to solve a simple problem: grabbing recipes scattered across social media or web pages and turning them into clean, standardized cards. Over time, user feedback pushed me to turn it into something much bigger: an active kitchen assistant that helps you before, during, and after you cook. Here is where the project stands today: 🚀 Just Released : ✨ Magic Fridge No more wasted food or staring at random ingredients. Two modes to choose from: 🥕 With What I Have: List your fridge ingredients, get 3 recipe ideas, pick one 😋 I Have a Craving: Name a dish, add your twist, get a custom recipe 💡 Coming Next Update (End of week / Early next week) Based on direct feedback from our early users, two big changes are landing in the next build: Reworking the Streak System: Our initial gamification punished users if they didn't log in every single day. Real life gets in the way (leftovers, eating out, busy days). We're shifting to 3 active days per week (one action per day = 1 active day) to keep a healthy cooking routine without the stress. Beginner Mode: Cooking can be intimidating if you don't know the culinary terms or lack the "gut feeling" for timing. Beginner Mode includes step-by-step guidance, interactive cooking tips, and a "help" button so anyone can build confidence at the stove. I'd love to get your feedback on the Magic Fridge concept or hear how you handle streak mechanics in your own side projects! submitted by /u/Al1st3rD [link] [comments]
