Original Summary
I’m a Product Manager, and I wanted epics, tasks and a wiki together for my own projects. I tried Backlog md, Beads and a few other approaches, then ended up building my own. Kind of like Jira… but with everything living as Markdown in Git. It’s called GitDocket . There’s a local web UI for the board and wiki, plus CLI/MCP access so coding agents in tools like Codex or Cursor can work with the same project context. The useful part is being able to come back to a project and see what was decided, what changed, what was checked and what comes next. Tasks can keep their outcomes and linked commits, and a new agent session can read that history too. Underneath, the engine is built off of Google’s Open Knowledge Format . The files stay readable and reviewable in Git. It’s free and open source , and still has rough edges. Would this help you pick a side project back up, or does it feel like too much process? I’d also be interested in how you handle this today. submitted by /u/bjorgen [link] [comments]
