I built Plain Markdown, a Chromium extension that converts any webpage into clean, editable Markdown. plainmarkdown.com Copy-paste from the web is a mess, you get ads, menus, and broken formatting instead of actual text. If you paste a raw page into ChatGPT, you waste tokens on clutter and the model misses the content. Some features I'd like to highlight: 1) It can capture a whole X or Reddit thread, not just the slice that loaded. 2) It has a multi-tab feature so it can convert up to 25 tabs (with drag & reorder). 3) Connect your Obsidian, Readwise or Notion tools and It can send the result there. 4) Connect your own AI api key (OpenRouter and OpenAI currently are supported) and add custom prompts (and even chain them) on a single output, for reuse. Although some Premium features mentioned above are behind a license key ($10 - coffee money). I'm considering strongly to make it all free and get rid of the payment logic due to low demand.
