Original Summary

One thing building an AI SaaS changed my mind about: the model isn't really the hard part. I've been building ImgHeal, an AI photo restoration product, and once restoration itself started working, most of my problems became normal SaaS problems with an AI twist. Failed generations need proper refunds. Regenerations need limits. Uploads need private storage. Batch processing needs failure handling. And a technically “better” AI output can still be a terrible result if the model changes someone's face or invents details. It made me realize how much work sits between “the API works” and “people can actually trust this product.” For transparency, ImgHeal is my own project. If you did like to use it you can dm me I'd be interested to hear from other AI SaaS builders: what looked simple at the beginning but became unexpectedly difficult? submitted by /u/Active_Pianist_5213 [link] [comments]
