Original Summary
For context: I'm building a business development tool for independent recruiters and small agencies, after being in the industry myself for the past 10 years. Pricing starts at €139 a month, cancellable monthly (for now) to keep the entry barrier low. It's bootstrapped, I'm the only founder, and I'm based in Europe. I started selling in mid-August through cold email, LinkedIn outreach, my own network and a few referral partners. That has produced about 45 interested prospects, 4 paying customers (€810 MRR) and 15 more in the post-demo stage. My biggest issue is that people say yes and then nothing happens. They book a demo, like the product, accept the price, sometimes even tell me it's too cheap, and agree to start. Then they postpone, go quiet, or never set up their account. Almost nobody says no, so I have no reasons to work with. I can't tell whether I'm talking to the wrong people, whether the product asks too much of them before it pays off, or whether the timing is wrong for them right now. My follow-up is consistent and organised, and it hasn't changed the outcome once. The 4 who paid did so on their own, with very little effort from me. That's what bothers me most: the thing I'm best at, generating interest, works, and the part that decides whether this becomes a business seems to happen out of my reach. I have full transcripts of every demo and a clean CRM, so I'm not short of data. I'm looking for advice from someone who has been through this exact stage. Any tips on cracking the code of what moves the needle? submitted by /u/djtrump [link] [comments]
