I'm taking this time to relax more than as a leap of faith in my abilities to make money building apps. Anyways, enough sob story, here are my numbers since launching on September 15: Analytics 174 impressions 41 product page views 8 first-time downloads 4 in-app purchases Subreddits I posted r/TestMyApp r/betatests , r/promoteMyApp r/AppGiveaway Updated versions Date Submitted Versions Items Status (Oct 2) Friday at 2:33 AM iOS 1.0.5 1 Item Review Completed Sep, 19 at 5:09 PM iOS 1.0.4 1 Item Review Completed Aug, 24 at 11:33 AM iOS 1.0.3 5 Items Review Completed I am mainly optimizing to get more users to download the app instead of trying to actually make money. So I"m giving out promo codes and asking to test and play with my app. I have posted some promotional posts and request for app test. I am hoping this will increase my rankings a bit on the appstore, and continue to keep my app marked as "alive". I have made 5 versions since posting to the appstore. Mainly fixing bugs, updating onboarding to improve initial impressions, adding an apple watch companion app. For my next steps, I'm going to try and create some viral videos that are both related to my app and not related to my app. If I can make contents that go relatively viral (I have made a video that went half a million views before) so hopefully, if I can replicate it to even one tenth of that amount, it will be a bit of a boost on my app. I'm going to eventually resort to spending up to 100 dollars per campaigns to see what that does to my app as I continue to polish my app. I'm going to try and use that to gain some Ads CPA and potentially scale it even if at a loss in order to gain more downloads/subs which will help with rankings. Any feedback questions welcome! submitted by /u/InitialNational6491 [link] [comments]
