Original Summary

Hey everyone, I’ve been building Rail Crossing Atlas, a map for looking up U.S. railroad crossings. You can search for a town or crossing ID, look through the reported traffic and equipment, and compare crossings. It uses public Federal Railroad Administration records, with dates kept visible so an old traffic count doesn’t look like a new one. The site is here . I’m trying to make a fairly dense set of records useful without making the site overwhelming. If you open it for the first time, is it obvious where to start? What’s the first thing you’d simplify or add? I’d appreciate any thoughts, especially if you try looking up a crossing near you. submitted by /u/PlayfulSecretary6021 [link] [comments]
