Google just sent me the first Search Impact milestone for AskVerb: 5 clicks from search. This isn't my first time doing SEO. My previous product, TradePilot, gets around 4k clicks from Google now, and it started exactly like this. A handful of clicks, then nothing for weeks, then it slowly starts to stack. So I'm not celebrating the number. I'm celebrating being back at the start of a curve I've seen work before. What I'm doing the same way this time: - Pages written for the people I want to reach, answering what they actually search, not stuffed with keywords - Fewer, better pages. Weak ones get deleted, not left to rot - Patience. Search is the one channel I don't measure week to week Every channel starts at 5. Back to building. For those who've grown a second product: did search pick up faster the second time, or did you have to wait it out all over again? submitted by /u/Southern_Kitchen3426 [link] [comments]
