Hi all I am making a website that sort of melds p2p and social media together. I figure peers need peers need peers. Just put it all together. It uses webtorrent it feels like where Web 3.0 was going before AI took over. It has a livestream as well that uses webtorrent so that’s a whole thing. Basically it has enough infrastructure to persist on its own without webtorrent but webtorrent is right there to share content. I keep saying I have one week left on it but each week I make new features and more new features and more new features. It’s privacy centered think private bubbles, invite only bubbles, pending join requests, in app bubbles and global bubbles and also your profile is defaulted to private you have to toggle it to public if you want your stuff online, but it has global reach if you want to publish to the web. It has the opportunity to add your own affiliate link from CJ.com and the platform shows them. I figure it’s a way around the centralized apps that sell the users. That’s the idea at least. It’s ebubbl.com there’s like 10 users mostly my friends. I figure if we literally share our images and likeness and all of that maybe just literally share it with your friends and let’s use our own devices instead of a big data center. And though I do use DeepSeek to help code, the app itself has no ai in it. The problem that I knew I’d run into is everyone is burnt out on social apps but I’m trying to make one where chill is the default. We’ll see. I don’t know exactly how well this would scale but webtorrent gets better WITH scale. I wouldn’t be serving every single thing if bubbles were self perpetuating with webtorrent. I’m doing the ground work at least. The livestream I think is kinda cool, not that live-streaming is novel but p2p livestream kind of is. The plan for tomorrow is to get the livestream from its one component and into bubbles.
