Original Summary
I've worked around SaaS support for a while, and I keep seeing the same thing. A company gets an AI chatbot to handle repetitive tickets, and when customers get annoyed, everyone blames the bot. But a lot of the time, the setup is the real problem. If the bot can't solve something, it should just hand it over to a human. The problem is when that handoff loses all the context. The customer then has to explain the same issue again, which is probably the most frustrating part of the whole experience. I think AI support works best when it's treated as part of the support team, not as a wall between customers and humans. Good escalation + proper context seems way more important than simply trying to maximize ticket deflection. Curious what other SaaS teams are doing here. Do you actually track how often customers have to repeat themselves after an AI handoff? submitted by /u/billl_buttlicker [link] [comments]
