I am once again begging a developer to build this app. Flow-e.com in my opinion was near perfect. It has since been shut down, as the company was focused on other products (businessman) and decided not to maintain it. The landing page has since been taken over, but the rest of the site describing its functionality is still working. It was the most productive I have ever been as a project manager. The idea is very simple. Email and task manager stop forcing you to be the middle man syncing everything back and forth all the time. They become one. Email is the task. The cards natively flow into your kanban board, and you can work them through a workflow as needed. Replies and threads update the cards automatically and maintain the GTD workflow. There have been many attempts, and I have tried many times to find a replacement, but none have been able to do what flow-e did. Trello has tried email plugins, Kanmail is maybe the closest but amazingly doesn’t let you sort the cards by priority in the lists, sendboard is Gmail only, power automate flows to planner do not work. All of them are missing at least one of the critical features that flow-e had. Why outlook doesn’t make this visual board format their default is beyond me. But once you’ve used this, it’s hard to go back to normal email. I even reached out to the CEO of the company and asked if they would open source it. No luck.
