Original Summary
I used to think onboarding needed to explain everything the product could do. I've changed my mind. The better approach seems to be getting someone to their first useful result as quickly as possible. Instead of: “Here are 12 things you can do.” Try: “Let's get this one thing done first.” Once someone gets value from the product, they're much more willing to explore the rest. I've found that removing steps is often more useful than adding another onboarding tooltip. submitted by /u/FlatLiterature9702 [link] [comments]
