Original Summary

Hey everyone. I am the co-founder and head up marketing and growth for my first and new SaaS product (an agentless vulnerability scanner). We have our Product Hunt launch set for late soon, but right now I am facing the classic cold-start problem. My technical co-founder has the product ready, and my main goal right now is to gather a small, test group (20-30 people) to break our UX and give harsh feedback before the big day. Since we are starting from zero I am trying to figure out the best grassroots approach. For those who handled early user acquisition from scratch: How did you find your very first beta testers? Did you rely on cold DM outreach on LinkedIn or X, and did it actually convert? Are there specific directories, Discord servers, or communities that are genuinely receptive to testing early stage products? I would love to hear what worked and what completely failed for your early GTM strategy. Thanks! submitted by /u/kaosthecreator_ [link] [comments]
