Original Summary
I’m building Split-Up, a web app for splitting expenses with friends in Nepal. The part I wanted to get right was a shared restaurant bill where everyone ordered different things. You upload a bill photo, review the items, and assign them to the people who had them. It also tracks group expenses and who still owes whom. Dashain is coming up here, so I’m sharing it for group trips and khasi bhag: families or friends buying a goat together and splitting the cost by their shares. It has a Nepali interface and shows eSewa, Khalti or Fonepay details/QRs for settling up. People still make the payment themselves. Expense tracking is free with no entry limit. AI bill reading includes 5 free scans per month. https://splitup.thimitech.com/?utm_source=reddit_sideproject&utm_medium=post&utm_campaign=dashain I’m the developer. If you try it, I’d like to hear where the flow gets confusing. Is assigning individual bill items useful enough to bother with, or do you usually just split the total? submitted by /u/roviso_domi [link] [comments]
