Original Summary
A little while ago I decided I wanted to try building something of my own instead of just constantly thinking about doing it. I ended up creating Kinetic — a fitness platform that gives people personalised workouts based on their goals, experience and how many days they can train. I had no audience, no existing customers and honestly no idea whether anyone would actually pay for it. Getting the site live was the first win. Then someone actually paid. That first customer completely changed how I looked at the project. It went from being something I'd made on my computer to something a complete stranger thought was worth paying for. I've had more customers since, but I'm nowhere near where I want to be yet. The hardest thing I'm learning is that building the product is only one part of it. Getting attention is hard. Getting someone to visit is harder. Getting them to actually pay is even harder. Right now I'm experimenting with organic content, SEO, communities and different ways of reaching people who already have the problem Kinetic is trying to solve. Some days it feels like it's moving. Other days it feels like I'm getting absolutely nowhere. But I'm going to keep building and see where I can take it. If anyone wants to check out what I've built, it's here: https://train-with-kinetic.com I'd genuinely appreciate any feedback — especially from people who've been through the early stages of building their own subscription product. For anyone who started with basically no audience, how long did it take before you started seeing consistent growth? submitted by /u/Affectionate-Fly4167 [link] [comments]
