Original Summary

I’ve always wanted to be able to conveniently watch history of a place or period in a chronological order without, so I have been building Movieline , a site for exploring history through movies and TV series. The idea is simple: instead of browsing films by genre or release date, Movieline places them on a historical timeline based on the period and events they portray . I’m also gradually connecting titles with historical events, people, places and larger historical periods, so it becomes easier to discover what to watch next if a particular era interests you. It’s still very much a work in progress, so I’d especially appreciate feedback on whether the concept is intuitive and what you would want to see improved. Works best on bigger screens. Users can connect thier plex or jellyfin and sync wached statues or playlists. https://movieline.org submitted by /u/Thario [link] [comments]
