Original Summary

When people on the internet talk about a topic someone eventually makes a list of relevant info for that topic, but they usually do that with google sheets or some other tool that makes collaboration difficult. I made a tool that just reads the conversation thread and automatically adds new items to the list and visualizes the data. I collected the top ~100 posts on r/sideproject from the last two years and added them to a list: https://www.wiki.bot/w/side-projects-on-r-sideproject If you click "Try this list in a sandbox" you can try adding new items by making a comment and do some other things like group the items or change the visualization. Wikipedia actually has a lot of lists (in the form of "List of articles") and as a sideproject I am importing those articles into my app where I can visualize their datasets and I think improve the UX for making changes to those lists. Here is my whole spiel on that: https://listarticlesonwikipedia.arebroken.com That also links to a bunch of blog posts where I go into some more detail about what I'm building. Hope that makes sense and happy for any feedback! submitted by /u/thinkingdots [link] [comments]
