so i'm a dev at a bank building Tully Courses on the side, and the part i'm weirdly proudest of is the grader. every lesson ends with you actually doing something and getting graded on it, not a multiple choice quiz. i wanted people to be able to poke at that grader without signing up for anything, so i built the Prompt Gauntlet!! how it works under the hood, for anyone curious: - every question has a hidden reference answer that never leaves the server. your answer gets graded against it live, A-F, and it tells you what you nailed and what you missed so it's not just a vibe score - the browser never decides your score. it can't even send one, the server works everything out from its own grades - if you go for the cert, a second stronger model re-grades your best answers blind and the cert uses that score. getting it to not re-run (and re-bill me lol) every time someone re-issued took way longer than i'd like to admit - answers get capped before they ever reach the grader, so nobody gets to paste a novel at it first 5 of the 20 questions are free, no account. the full run + cert is $5 and gets a public verify link. honestly it's been live for a bit and basically nobody's seen it bc i never posted it anywhere haha. would def love people trying to break the grader, or telling me if a grade felt off!! tullycourses.com/gauntlet   submitted by   /u/Chrismslist [link]   [comments]
