I've been using this for a couple of months now. It started as just a todo list plus a way to keep my Mac awake with the lid closed, but I kept adding little things I found myself checking all the time: whether my internet was actually down, my Google Analytics numbers, my server. Now it's one menu bar app with each tool as a plugin. It's called Perch. Sharing it in case it's useful to anyone. It's open source, so feel free to take it and change it however you like. And if there's a feature you'd want, let me know. What it does right now: Tasks: A simple todo list. Whatever's at the top shows up in the menu bar, so I always see what I'm supposed to be doing. Analytics: My Google Analytics numbers without logging in to anything. Server: CPU, memory and disk for my VPS. It warns me when the disk is filling up, which is usually how I found out before. Internet: Tells me if my connection is actually working, and whether the problem is DNS or a Wi-Fi login page. Busy: Shows how packed my gym is right now, using Google's popular times. Honestly this is the one I use most. Market: Watches a Facebook Marketplace search and tells me when something new gets listed. Keep awake: Keeps the Mac awake with the lid closed, with one click. The menu bar item shows whichever tab you last opened. So it can be your current task, or your ping, or your server's CPU. You can switch off any plugin you don't want. It's free and open source (MIT), signed and notarized, and works on macOS 14 or later. Nothing from Tasks leaves your Mac, and any passwords or keys go in your Keychain.
