I've been a web developer for years, and Laragon has been a big part of my Windows workflow for the last 6. I loved how simple it was, but I kept wanting more control and more features in one place. I couldn't find a free tool that had everything, so I decided to build one, mostly for myself. The result is OLS (Open Local Server) , a free and open-source alternative to XAMPP, Laragon, WampServer and Herd. No paid tier, no limit on sites, and it's staying that way. What it does Add a site from a folder or Git repo, with automatic .test domains and trusted HTTPS Each site gets its own web server (Apache, Nginx or Caddy) and its own PHP version Install only what you need in a click: PHP, Node, Python, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Mailpit and more Quick Apps: spin up Laravel, WordPress, Next.js, Django and others in a click Share any site online with a tunnel (Cloudflare, ngrok or LocalTunnel) Snapshots, backups, scheduled tasks, a .env editor, a CLI and a local API Where it stands It's still early, so expect rough edges.
