I made Actual Scale: https://actualscale.com Drop any city on the map and drag it around. It grows and shrinks so it always holds the same number of people as the real city. Manhattan over rural USA spreads across several states; over the ocean it just keeps growing. Try it here . I first had the idea three years ago after seeing The True Size Of, but my first attempt ran at one frame every few seconds and only worked in the US. Now it's smooth and covers the whole world, with over 300k towns, cities, urban areas, states, and countries. What I'd love feedback on: First impression: did you get it within 10 seconds?
