Hi all, I've been building this and would like honest feedback. The problem: every company has already made the decision you're about to make. It's in a Slack thread from 18 months ago, a doc nobody reopens, and a postmortem that says "this has happened before" with nothing behind it. What it does: you describe a decision you're weighing. It searches what your company actually did in comparable situations, flags the ones that went badly, and cites each past decision by ID so you can go read the record yourself. The risk level isn't a model's opinion, it's computed from the recorded outcomes of those past decisions, which is what makes it checkable. The part I actually spent the time on: making it refuse. When your history has nothing, it says no_precedent rather than stretching an analogy. It shows what it looked at and declined. Then, separately and clearly labelled, it will offer a general-practice guess, marked low confidence and forbidden from citing anything. Three things it will not do, enforced in code rather than asked for in a prompt: invent a result for a decision that hasn't happened yet retain your prompts into the knowledge base (they're vectorised for cross-referencing, but nothing enters the company history unless you explicitly add it) let the model invent or overreach on a decision ID Stack: Hindsight for the memory layer, a 421M-parameter classifier running locally in the container for routing, deterministic ranker for the verdict, a language model only for prose. FastAPI + Next.js + Postgres with pgvector. Honest stuff, per the rules here: The corpus is synthetic. The mechanism is what I built, not the data. The demo is capped at 10 reviews per visitor, because every review costs real inference. If you hit the cap you'll get a contact form, not a bug. Real limitation I haven't solved: a decision you add and never follow up can be recalled as context forever without ever becoming evidence.
