Original Summary
Hey everyone, Like many, I tried translating e-commerce product catalogs to European markets (DE/FR/ES) by dumping CSVs into ChatGPT/Claude. The result was a mess: It kept translating or breaking Shopify Liquid tags ( {{ product.price }} ) Messed up closing HTML tags ( </div> , </span> ), which broke storefront grid themes Did literal word-for-word translation instead of local buyer intent To fix my own headache, I built Linguistore ( linguistore.com ). It uses an AST parser to tokenize and lock all HTML/Liquid variables before running transcreation, so 0% of the code/layout gets altered, and exports a shop-ready CSV. We just put it on Product Hunt today to see if anyone outside my circle actually needs this. Questions for fellow builders: Does the value prop make sense immediately, or is "syntax-safe transcreation" too technical? How would you price something like this (pay-as-you-go credits vs monthly sub)? Any obvious blind spots I should fix before reaching out to Shopify agencies? Tear it apart, I need honest feedback! submitted by /u/Financial-Goose-9863 [link] [comments]
