i run clipkaboom, a site for meme green screen clips. we just dropped 36 cat green screens, so i wanted a little promo video. after effects, no premiere. the whole thing is react code in remotion - a script pulls every cat clip, keys out the green with ffmpeg and finds where the cat is in the frame, so each one can be placed by the cat itself, not by the video rectangle - every cut, word slam and wipe is timed to the song's beats - the wall of all 36 cats is css 3d, and the green → color "keying wave" is just per-tile delays honestly the first draft was way too fast. 10 cuts in 4 seconds, and you couldn't tell what was happening. i slowed it to about 1 cut per second, moved the text off the cats and it reads way better. lesson re-learned: flashy ≠ watchable happy to share how the keying works if anyone's curious. what's the most unhinged cat meme i'm missing from the pack?   submitted by   /u/Mediocre-Number-5498 [link]   [comments]
