Original Summary

I run a small SaaS (booking software for a niche industry) and wanted an interactive demo on the website so people could click through the product before signing up. A video felt too passive and a live demo call for every lead wasn't realistic for a small team. So I looked at the usual options. Navattic starts around $500/month. Storylane only gives you HTML capture on the higher tiers. Arcade moved HTML capture to Enterprise this year. The screenshot based tools are cheaper, but my UI changes a lot and I didn't want to redo screenshots every time. For a small company that felt like a lot of money for one demo on a landing page. So I started building my own HTML based demo tool, first for myself, and now I'm turning it into a product. Full disclosure: I'm biased, it's my tool. Before I go further I'd like to hear from people who actually use this stuff: What do you use for interactive demos right now, and what made you pick it? What's the one thing that annoys you about it? If you decided not to use one at all, was it the price or something else? Not trying to sell anything here, I just want to know if I'm solving a real problem or only my own. submitted by /u/Junior_Ad_5926 [link] [comments]
