I'm a solo iOS developer, and for the past year I've been building Kids Adventure , a learning app for children aged 3–8. The website just went live: meetanvi.com Why I built it: most kids' learning apps I looked at had an ad in the middle of an activity, an "unlock more" button, or a design made to keep children tapping. I wanted one a parent could hand over without worrying. What it does: Eight activities: letters with audio, tracing with accuracy feedback, matching, counting, blocks, drawing, art, and ten read-aloud stories at three reading levels Works offline A PIN-protected parent area with a daily time limit and a weekly summary Separate profiles for siblings, with progress that follows the parent's account to a new device What it deliberately doesn't do: no ads, no in-app purchases, no analytics, no third-party SDKs. The constraints turned out to be the interesting part: No analytics means no dashboard. I learn what works by talking to parents, not from funnels. One SwiftUI codebase for iOS and Android. I replaced SwiftData with a simple snapshot store so the same persistence code compiles for Android through Skip Fuse. The Android build is in progress. Sync that can't lose progress. When two devices disagree, the higher count wins, so restoring a profile can never lose stars. Snapshot tests on both platforms , so a UI change on one platform can't quietly break the other. Next: a "Thinking Journal". After a drawing, the child says what they made and why, the speech is transcribed on the device, the audio is never kept, and the parent keeps the record. Where I'd love your help: Does the website make it clear what the app is within five seconds? If you have kids aged 3–8, what would make you trust (or not trust) an app like this?
