A while ago, I was looking for a simple game to play with friends that wasn't about trivia or random party challenges, but about how well you actually know each other. Something where you answer questions about yourself, estimate how another person would answer, and then compare the two. I assumed there would be plenty of games like this, but I couldn't really find anything that matched what I had in mind — especially something you could simply open in a browser and start playing together. So I ended up building Closer . It's a browser-based social game for 2–8 people. Players answer questions on a scale from 1–10 and try to estimate each other's answers. The interesting part is usually not the score, but the discussions that come out of the differences. There are different question categories and slightly different mechanics depending on whether you're playing with two people or in a group. No app installation is needed, and everyone can join directly from their phone. I originally built it mainly because I wanted the game to exist. At some point I added a Premium version mostly as an experiment and for fun — monetisation wasn't really the reason for building it. A few people have actually bought Premium since then, which was honestly a pretty nice surprise.
