Original Summary
Most budgeting apps model a calendar month. Most people are paid every two weeks. Those don't line up, so twice a year you get a three-paycheck month and your budget is off by a whole paycheck. MoneyMap aligns budgets to your actual pay period, and the home screen shows one number: what's safe to spend after bills and goals. I just shipped 1.5. The feature I'm proudest of is the debt payoff plan. Drag one slider for extra payments and watch the debt-free date move. Most of the work went into keeping it accurate after that. If you pay extra outside the app or skip a month, you log it and the plan recalculates instead of going stale. Also new: home-screen widgets on iOS and Android, Apple Card / Cash / Savings via FinanceKit, vehicle value tracking for auto loans, and a swipe flow for clearing uncategorized transactions. The stack is React Native and Expo, with WatermelonDB as a local SQLite store, so the app works fully offline. Sync is end-to-end encrypted with keys generated on-device. Features ship behind PostHog flags, and JS fixes go out as OTA updates. Happy to go deep on any of it. So far: 150+ downloads across iOS and Android, a 5.0 average from 14 ratings, and 13 paying subscribers. The App Store listing gets about 28K impressions, and 0.7% of those turn into downloads, so discovery and conversion are what I'm working on next. I'd especially like feedback on early or late paychecks. Right now the budget shifts with the deposit. Is that what you'd expect? https://moneymap.cc submitted by /u/_w33p_ [link] [comments]
