Original Summary
Hey all, fellow dev here, I am building an interaction layer that can make the conversion between you and users real easy. I am done with the prototype for applications built using react (vite, next js etc) and here is how it works. You install an SDK in your app that adds a help button. You are free to decide its placement in your app, but make sure it's visible all the time. Clicking on it opens a support bot (I know, but bare with me). You can attach tools and knowledge bases to answer the common questions about pricing, how a feature works etc. You can attach tools to handle UI mutations anywhere in your application, which can make your app controllable through just text or voice, all done using a few lines of code. If you are available, you can join a Slack-type huddle right inside your app with your power users. The user who might be stuck would see an escalation button, and if anyone in your team is available, they can talk to them directly. You can see their screen, annotate it, and help them right then and there. It's like Slack huddles, but right inside your app. I have talked to a few customer support people, and they use async tickets to answer queries. After that, they see the Datadog logs and PostHog recordings of what went wrong. So, if you had the chance to fix your users' problems right then and there, would you use this? This really provides an opportunity to prevent your power users from churning and giving them the feeling that you are there for them when they need you, which is quite unusual nowadays. No per-seat pricing. I thought about starting from $20/month. Let me know what you think? submitted by /u/This_Athlete_8343 [link] [comments]
