Hello! I’m back for another round of feedback on The Legendarium Companion . It’s a search tool for Tolkien’s legendarium that I’ve been building on the side. The idea is pretty simple: ask a question, get a useful answer, and be able to trace it back to the sources. I spent most of this week on the foundations rather than adding flashy features. I stabilised the tech, cleaned up technical debt, made the deployment workflow safer, and started auditing the search engine itself. I’ve already made a few improvements there, added fallback mechanisms for when parts of the search fail, and started running A/B tests to see what actually improves the results. Performance is still not where I want it to be, and I’m working on that next. At this point I’d really like feedback on the product itself. Does the idea make sense when you first land on it?
