This started with a fake mouse pointer moving on an external display connected to my iPhone. I wanted to see how far I could take it. It turned into Origami, an app I’m building that gives the iPhone its own desktop workspace on a connected display: movable windows, a Dock, a browser, files, notes and maps. You can keep a document next to a website instead of constantly switching between them. Then I added the tools I wanted for my own work: an embedded Code - OSS editor, local Node.js 24 and npm, and SSH for connecting to another machine. The local editor and terminal share the same project folders. Vim and Neovim run on the SSH host.
