Three of us have been building this. The premise: most language apps have a deep catalog if you already speak English, and a very thin one otherwise. If your native language is Turkish or Polish or Portuguese, you either learn your target language through English or you mostly don't learn it at all. So we built the pair matrix instead. 75+ languages, 800+ course pairs, so you can learn German from Japanese or Welsh from Portuguese without English sitting in the middle. Rare and endangered languages are in there next to the big ones. What a course actually contains: short lessons with native audio, spaced repetition for vocabulary, grammar and conjugation drills, reading material, and a placement test so you don't get dumped at lesson one if you already know things.
