Your SMS inbox is a mess. OTPs mixed with bank alerts, promos buried next to messages from people you actually care about. Finding one important text shouldn't mean scrolling through dozens you don't. I built Chime to fix that. Chime is an SMS app for Android that automatically sorts your messages into categories like Personal, OTP, Banking, Promos, and Spam. The important part: all categorization happens locally on your phone. Your messages never leave your device. No account, no cloud processing, no data collection. If Chime gets something wrong, just move the conversation to the right category. The model learns from your corrections locally and improves over time. A few other features: • Schedule messages to send later, even when Chime isn't open • Instantly search across all your conversations • Set custom swipe actions • Choose between Material You colors and a clean monochrome theme • Fully native Android app built with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose Chime requires Android 13+ and is now officially released. It's a one-time purchase of $2.99 USD worldwide. Known issue: There's currently a bug involving the keyboard when starting a new chat. It's already fixed, and the update containing the fix is currently under Google Play review.
